1987 Force 125 Tilt motor not working

Just testing motor getting ready for fishing next month and tilt motor not working at all. No sound or nothing when switching toggle. Was working fine last time about 1 month ago. Where do I start checking?

Corroded connections and fuses.

Thanks but I found the problem. Guess I'm smarter than I thought thanks to all the stuff Ive learned being on this forum. I removed the the hot wire from the toggle switch and hooked direct from battery and the tilt motor came on. Turns out the fuse on the toggle hot wire was bad. Simple. Still why in the heck would a fuse all of a sudden go bad just sitting there for a month not doing anything?
