My Bayliner boat has a "quick disconnect" type setup between the bulb and the fuel pump/filter assembly. This setup seems to greatly impede the flow of fuel from the bulb to the fuel pump. The motor stumbles/bogs down at full throttle but ONLY at full throttle. When I removed the quick disconnect setup I temporarily placed a piece of rubber fuel line from the bulb to the fuel filter/pump but when I began to squeeze the bulb fuel began to overflow from the top carb. Does the quick disconnect "thingy" also serve as a sort of flow regulator?

Thanks, Clay

If the carb is overflowing then the float is probably stuck. The motor probably bogs at full throttle because the high speed jets are gummed up. You probably need to clean the carbs.
