I am looking at buying this boat... It has a cracked engine block but the rest is there. It looks like the hull is in good shape and needs some buffing, the floor needs to be replaced and the seats need recovering. Do you all think 2000 is a good buy for this?

keepNitreel, in this economy, i put absolutely no faith in NADA. it has never been reliable for a boat over 5 years old anyway. and you miss read the value, that is without the inboard outboard engine.

$2,000 seems high to me. where can you redo a deck, upholstery, and rebuild and power system, for $1400. $3400.

I did state that it was without (w/o) the engine and I too belive $2000 is very high for all the money & labor that will need to be put into it

With a cracked block and needing the work you described I would not give more than 700 for this boat. I guarantee that when the floor comes up your going to be knee deep in rotten wood including a transom job.

I looked at the boat you are talking about. I wouldn't give 2,000 for it. I would be surprised if all the bolt on parts are still there for the engine. It was taken apart in a tobacco barn. If you look closely at the deck you can see where someone put new plywood over the deck that was already there.

If it would have been worth 2,000 I would have already bought it. :)

I noticed the new plywood... Just not real sure of whats under it. I was planning on stripping the floor up laying down some marine grade plywood and fiberglassing over it

Its just up in the air on whats under the floor...
