1987 Mecruiser I/O Lower Drive Assy./Housing

I have a 1987 Chaparral 200 XLC with a Mecruiser I/O V8 350 Chevy short block engine. The lower housing of the outdrive threads have stripped out including the threads on the washer that holds it all in. Where can I get only the housing at?? I can order the other parts. Do I need to order a rebuilt/reman lower drive assembly?

You can get the hsg from Mercury, Sierra, GLM and used one at many marinaa, be aware that you will need to reshim the hsg. to fit your gears and brgs--Bob
