Just bought a used boat with this motor on it...
I don't have any literature (except maintanence records) on the outboard..
Is it ok to run the motor with rabbit ears? I've heard (and I could be getting wrong info) that it is not recommended... The oil injection has been removed, and is now running on straight 50-1 mix out of the tank. The test drive the other day was awesome, and showed no signs of problems. Compression is good in all cylinders..

It's OK to run the engine on the "rabbit ears", just keep the rpms down and have plenty of water running on the garden hose..

Best literature you could buy is a service manual... :)
