Serial no: 0A985806 It has been worked on by a local boat mechanic and replaced one power pack, rebuilt fuel pump, and it still won't rev up when you throttle down and plane out. Seems to be excessive fuel coming out of the air intake of carbs. Problem seemed to intermit until he changed these items but now mo constant. Mechanic saif output form trigger to power pack was 10 volts. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

sounds like a stuck float in the fill bowl to me.
ever had the carbs rebuilt on her? sometimes you
can tap on the side of the bowl with but of a
screwdriver to unstick it. a rebuild with new
needle and seat will be permanent fix.
good luck,
M.Y.

if fuel is leaking out the front of the carb,
the float isn't working properly and it's flooding.
did they install a new float, needle and seat
or just clean them?

They installed new carb kits including floats. Motor always starts easy. Fuel only appears when running, you can't squeeze bulb and force it out.

need to re-adjust float level then or she's sticking. tap on side of bowl to unstick, but if that doesn't help, float level needs to be adj.
good luck,
M.Y.

Pull carbs and check for damaged reeds.

It belongs to my brother. The mechanic he had working on it replaced the power pack. His mechanic now tells him instead of the power pack he needs a stator. Does anyone have a good used stator they would like to trade for a new power pack? It is a 1986 or 1987 115 hp mercury serial number OA985806.
