Hello I want to share with you guys how we doing with the boat repair, like some of you guys read on my previus posts I just have the boat, the last time the boat run was 2009, outdrive is out, waiting for my transom repair kit wich I ordered online (exhaust, bellows, ujoints bellows, shif cable bellows, gimbal bearing, lower shifter cable, outdrive is finally split in half on my stand waiting for water pump kit, yesterday change all the fuel lines in the boat they were cracked, even the big one from the fillerneck to the tank was corroded and cracked, new fuel water separator, did a oil change with new filter, replace all the spark plugs, the previus owner used some regular autolite plugs and they were rusted and black, I used ac delco MR43T, the spark plug cables look new and they are marine. The carburetor was rebuild already.
Do you guys think should be a good idea use a engine oil additive?
I hook the hose and the engine start sound very good smooth and let the engine running for about 45 min temperature was good, engine pression is good.
during the week I will replace the ignition coil, cap, rotor, new ignition switch (because the one now is rusted).
I hope I get all my parts so I can finish the outdrive.
next Saturday I will install new starter, new alternator, new belts.
anything else I should check? thanks guys for always gave advise.
