I am thinking of buying this boat, i cant find any info on this boat and looking for some help.
I looked it up in Nada says its worth 4,600 - 6000. This seems rather low to the few boats i managed to find online for around 9-11,000.
The boat has a 5.7 Mercruiser Alpha 1 260hp and has been well maintained. I can pick this boat up for 5,500. Are people really getting 9-11 for these boats, or i assume thats why they are still for sale. This is my first boat purchase so just looking for some guidance or advice. I cant find a pic of this boat anywhere on the internet either.

Re: 1987 Sea Ray Monaco cuddy cabin*need info*

I need more information to give you an answer. Length of the boat, what canvas is included, electronics, is a trailer included. Has it been in salt or fresh water? Is it up north or down south? All these things make a big difference in the price of a used boat. Remember that the NADA guide is just that, a guide. For the most part, here in Michigan, used Sea Rays sell for more than the NADA values, way more if they are in excellent condition. This is due to several factors: Sea Ray is a quality boat, Michigan has a short boating season, there is no salt water around, the price of a new model is astronomical.
It really boils down to this: a used boat is worth what ever someone is willing to pay for it.
To see a picture of the boat go to www.searay.com, click on download center, then archives, They have pictures and specs for all their models from many years past.
