I have a 1987 Ski Supreme that needs to be refurbished. I decided to document the whole project

The true trials and tribulations of a stay at home dads rookie campaign into boat work and repair. With limited camera setups and low level editing skills I tackle all the work in this project. My 1987 Ski Supreme, which I bought thinking it was an 85', has been sitting for the last 9 years.

Before that, it had been at the pinnacle of its boat existence, pulling water-skiers and booze cruisers on New Hampshires Squam Lake. I named the beauty "Pleasant Reaction" because it was my happiest experiment in Grad School.

Deep down, I knew the boat had problems, it used to sound like the boat was breaking over big waves. I confirm that to be the case after cutting the drivers side floor out and removing the flotation foam. I find stringers with multiple structural defects including lack of foam, cracked fiberglass, no adhesion to the floor as well as cutting some of my own holes into them. Then I find the true damage from those boat breaking waves, a 3" crack in the fiberglass under the engine mount.

I fix that and plan to make modifications in this boat of a project. If you have ever wondered what a DIY project of this magnitude takea.

Moving forward I plan on installing an in dash cooler. Driver-side glove box, extra cup holders and integrated trash cans. any advice or comments would be appreciated!

Joethedad please refrain from soliciting members to follow you elsewhere on other social platforms.

Redirects to other sites arent permitted in the initial post to start a topic and it has been removed, as well as references to it.

Also, avoid posting to old inactive topics, doubtful the member whose Ski Supreme topic you posted to will ever get or reply to your post. Also avoid doscussing your project in someone elses topic, thats comsidered a hijack and is also to be avoided.

Good luck w your project and document it here if you wish, but dont solicit members to follow along elsewhere.
