1988 135 merc wont idle when warm

My 1988 135 mercury .It cranks fine and runs great untill it warms up.Then it goes dead below 1200 rpms.If I push in the neutral botton and push the throttle forward it will start back up and idle above 1200.but once bemow 1200 it goes dead.The oil reservoir has been removed and i pre mix my gas and oil.This was done years ago before this problem started. I have twins and the other one runs great
It was running great and this just started.I have
120 psi compresson
changed fuel filter
replaced all 6 coils and both ignition boxes.

Check your spark on both banks(port & starboard) when this happens as it sounds like a stator dropping a bank.

Do I just remove the flywheel and bolt the new stator on and hooh up the wires.Or do I need to mark the old one so the new one will go back to the same adjustment.does the timing have to be reset after I replace it?
