I have been have some fuel issues with my motor and I think it is the fuel pump. The only one I have found locally is $400. I think that is way too much.
Any suggestions on where I can find a fuel pump for a 1988 johnson 150 hp.
Thanks

I think you can plug the oil mixing part and get a fuel only pump for around $80.00 ..... then pre mix your fuel.

If you use conventional lift pumps, you need two for your motor.

It costs nothing to convert the VRO/OMS pumps to premix pumps if the gasoline side of the pump is still functioning.

If the gasoline side of the pump is not working, you can rebuild it with two kits. The oil side cannot be rebuilt nor can the warning system.

The kits to rebuild the gasoline side are sold as a package here: http://www.maxrules.com/fixomcvro.html

BTW, you can usually tell if the fuel pump is the problem because it does not discriminate; it treats all the cylinders the same. If the pulse limiter or membrane is bad the #6 cylinder will be mistreated.
