Recently I discovered I had a bad TBSC cable. During the two days of this ordeal, before I found the problem (thanks to Bruceb58), I heard the gears grind a handful of times. I have not checked the magnetized drain plug for metal shavings yet but hope it was not enough to be a big problem. I am thinking I should drain, flush and replace the outdrive oil. Does anyone have ideas on how to flush out any possible metal particles or do I just drain the oil and refill?
