I purchased a boat that had this motor included. Apparently the prior owner fried a piston so I placed an older Evinrude on to the boat.
I now have a complete lower unit, mid section and power tilt/trim and basket case for a power head. I know that the power head does not include connecting rods or pistons, but don't know if there are other parts missing.
I'm undecided at this point. Should I to purchase missing parts and build the power head or sell everything.
I've never built a boat motor but have built car motors before so I do have the tools and skill necessary to build this (I think).
However, my wife wants it out of the garage also.
Assuming that I'm able to source all parts, how much effort is it to rebuild?
Thanks in advance.
