My SeaRay (merc) 135 runs hot at medium speed even with a new impeller and t'stats removed.
Saw something about this problem on this site but did not get the Sea Ray service bulletin number and if they will fix the problem for free. Word is they made a boo boo and installed a plate between powerhead and motor leg improperly so as not to allow enough water flow. Running hot in Florida.

You need to check that the pop-off valve is working correctly.

It is located near the bottom of the power head on the starboard side.

Also make sure that all the hoses are not clogged with some sort of debris.

In warm water, Merc's are known to run hotter than would be considered normal.

A temp between 143 degrees and 185 degrees would be considered normal in water temp's above 80 degrees.

Hope this helps.

Kenny
