1988 8ohp Mercury

I have a 1988 merc. last summer it ran perfectly for the first 3 months. then I switched to smokeless oil and started fouling plugs every time I started the motor. but once the plugs warmedup it ran fine. the last time I had it out i was running 3/4 throttle in nice smooth water and it would just die drop it in to neutral and it would strat immediately. any suggestions as to what to look for?

It sounds like the new oil cut some crude loose and the carbs are flooding I would start by cleaning them and installing inlet needles

that is what i was hoping to hear. I will have them cleaned. thanks for the reply
