Check out Ebay or craiglist etc.
All Chrysler or Force controller up until 1995 I believe will fit your engine, then it depends on if you have T&T system or not.
Some controllers have swithes for the T&T build in some do not.
Later Force have Mercury controllers with Merc. connectors for the wires and this will not fit your engine.

Thanks for the help, we just have the US marine controller w/out T & T. When we disconnect the cable from the engine, it moves freely from the controller. When connected, it will not allow us to throttle up in neutral. Lubed the controller and got some relief but now it is hard to find neutral even pulling out the stick. When pulling out the stick, it freely moves forward and backward as it shouldn't and won't start until we "find" neutral. I question whether it is out of adjustment or just needs replaced. Not sure how "old" it is.

If the controller moves freely when disconnected from the engine and you can find the neutral, the controller is okey.
The issue is at the engine, disconnect the wires from the controller at the engine and check by moving the shift lever by hand at the engine.
It should move freely and you should find forward-neutral and reverse easy.
Forward is down at the lever and reverse is up, neutral in the middle.

Try: at the motor, unhook the cables and by hand try to advance the throttle and then try to put in gear.
Turn the prop as you do this or it will bind and possibly break something?
The motor's usually running when you try to shift and the propshaft is turning allowing the gears to engage.

If you can't shift then?
It's possible the shift shaft seal's seized and not allowing the rod to move.
You drain the oil? check for metal chunks, water??
