I have a 1988 Bluewater Eagle that I purchased as a project. Currently the trim sending unit is not hooked up to anything, the wires are just hanging in the back.
I traced a purple - white wire from the gauge on the dash back to the engine harness plug. Problem is, I cannot tell which pin it's connected to or what color it comes out as? (it's not purple-white anymore)
I thought about just cutting the wire prior to plug connector and just connecting it to the sender wire. Do you see any problems with that?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have searched around alot trying to find a boat wiring diagram with no success so if anyone could provide that as well, that would be great.
Just to be clear, it's a mercruiser 165. I have the wiring information for the engine/drive unit. It's the actual boat/instrument wiring that I need.
Thank You!!!
