I am thinking of purchasing a 1988 chris craft 26 foot stinger and know nothing about these boats. Right now I own a 1995 18.5 foot rinker so this is a totally differant beast. Fresh paint Fresh interior twin 350's with alpha one's. What should I look for/watch out for. Pros/cons Thank you for your help. Travis

No, its going to be a totally different world. You'll love it!

Just do the normal "buying a used boat" deal. General hull (including floor and transom) condition, motor/drive condition etc.

Wish I could find one with outboards.....

Go for a ride and let us know what you think.

Sorry I accidently posted this in the wrong area first. I have taken a ride on the boat and was impresed. Probally just because of the increased power great sound and good looks. I just want to know if anyone know these boats and knows of pros and cons and such. What to look for ect. I also wonder about skiing, wakeboarding and kneeboarding will the boat still be ok for these things? What about gas useage will it be redicilious with twins.

Any motor with a spark plug will cause you to turn your wallet upside down and shake vigerously when at the gas pump.

I,ve towed skiers with 23ft sundancer. Its a bit clumsy compared to to the 19 ft I just sold. Other than that if your the one being towed you won't notice the difference......hope you own an oil well though that baby your looking to buy will suck some serious fuel pulling skiers

Jim

I don't know what to do I want a bigger more powerful boat but we also like our watersports. And my problem is I can't stay out of the throttle.
