Let me start by saying I have already purchased the OEM manual and it is being shipped but I would really like to adjust the idle and timing before it arrives if someone can outline the procedure or send/upload the relevant portion of the manual. I recently bought this boat that had sat for quite a while (2 years or so). I went through the carbs and cleaned them thoroughly, put on new head gaskets, new plugs, verified spark on all cylinders, cleaned ignition electrical connections, checked the compression (good). It will start and run at slightly higher than what the idle is set at now. It is a bit sluggish out of the water but once it planes it will run about 35 and it sounds good. It will idle (somewhat) after it is warm but will stutter a little as if it is just slightly misadjusted with idle or timing and I would like to do the proper procedure to make sure it is set properly. If someone could help me out I would sincerely appreciate it.
