1988 Evinrude 14HP fuel ratio

I recently bought a Lowe 14' aluminum boat with a 1988 Evinrude 14HP outboard Model # VE14RCCS. From what I've been able to find online, it looks like the gas/oil ratio for similar models is probably 50:1, but could possibly be 100:1. Does anyone know the right mix for this motor?

Eh, welcome to iboats. Read on another topic in John/Rude forum that your exact model takes 50:1

50:1 would be correct. They did say 100:1 for awhile, but backed that out and told dealers to remove the sticker because they were having problems.

The motor would run great on 100 to 1 but when you stored it or left it sit for any time with out fogging it is where the problems started.
