1988 Force 125, won't Rev up.

I recently replaced the Stator and Fly Wheel on my 125 Force. I was not getting spark on the 3 bottom cylinders. The new stator fixed the spark problem, motor starts right up and I get a strong spark on all four, however when I took it out for a test drive the motor fell flat. When I push the throttle all the way forward the RPM's would not pick up, the motor makes a muffled noise like its missing or something and I could not go more than a few miles per hour. Would changing the stator and flywheel change the timing? I did line the marks up on the Flywheel? What else should I check?

Thanks for your help.

You need to verify your timing. You can refer to the video presented in the sticky post.

Have some one push the throttle as you watch it at the motor.
Make sure it's going all the way forward.
Just changing the stator shouldn't make any difference.
The timing? Lining up the marks?? Explain?
