This is my first boat. The boat runs great but wasn't used for about 3 years. When I lift the motor up and down with the trim switch it works fine. However, the motor slowly begins to fall back down, not completly down. Someone said add trim fluid or bleed it. Where do I put the trim fluid in? Also, I bought OMC Power Trim/Tilt & Steering Fluid, is this the right stuff? The guy at the boat place wasn't helpful. Thanks a lot.

Hi,<br />I've worked with hydraulics and there all pretty much the same but don't have experience (yet!)with tilt/trim systems. I would say if it needed fluid it wouldn't lift all the way in the first place,if it had air in the system you would be able to lean on the engine and it would be springy,it sounds like the piston seals are passing fluid and thats why it slowly lowers itself.Maybe other guys will have had the same thing,,anyway something to think about.
