I have a 1988 Bayliner Trophy with a Force 125
which has started vibrating at low speeds. It was recently serviced including changing the impeller and lower unit lubricant. The motor serial number is 2524, model Force 1251x8a. I couldn't see a man.name on the prop but it is stainless steel. It had several numbers: 2113, 5883, 48 72762A 4 191, 82661. The boat is Bayliner OB69FCH788. The mechanic says I shouldn't worry. I would appreciate any comments.

If it wasn't doing this before you had the werk done, i would check the prop shaft first. Put it into neutral, and rotate the prop by hand, while observing the center of the prop shaft. If there is any wobble in it, you have a bent propshaft.
What condition is the prop in? If it has bent or knicked blades, it could propbably stand a visit to the prop shop for reconditioning.

Thanks 12Footer, There are some knicks but no visible bent areas. I will pursue a prop shop. Don't think there is one in this area.
