This one is kind of hard to explain. The motor starts fine, but sometimes I notice when I rev it up in neutral, it does not rev up all the way. Instead it sounds like a perfect miss and doesnt rev up over 2000 rpm. Almost as if there is something preventing it from reving up high. When it does this, the motor does not run in gear much faster than idle speed. However, sometimes this goes away completely. It revs up high and loud and good, and then the motor runs great. So the motor runs perfect or doesnt run good at all. I was thinkin something electrical, but not real sure what it can be. Been doing this for about 5 months now. Jus scared one day its not going to run at all and I'm gunna get stranded. Can it be coil, powerpack, stater, trigger?? I changed plugs and wires and didnt help. Thanks for replies.

Keep revving it over 2K RPM, and you won't have any more worries; you'll have a big, ugly paperweight.

it can be anyone of the items you mentioned, you will need to have the components tested properly, throwing a bag of parts at it in hope, will be an expensive way to fix it, and I agree, keep reving it in neutral and you will not have to worry about the miss anymore, but the cost of a rebuild will scare you a bit!
