Thanks for the reply I appreciate it, but I think the Qd was a 10hp??. I have seen this chart before. I know the late 90's 8 hp were 60 to 84 inch pounds but that seems a little light to me. I am hoping someone has the actual specs

well 60-84 inch/lb is 5-7 foot/pounds

you an check the web for standard bolt side torques

I have the OEM manual for the 84 model year motors and it calls for 12-14 ft lbs on the 8hp head bolts.
