I have just purchased a 1988 Sportcraft 300 G. L. S. The starboard manifold runs hot, Is there a way to clean it out so I do not have to replace? the manifold & riser both run warm. Port side runs cool.I have already checked visually for obstructions. Boat has been in dry dock for about 4 years.

Manifolds Never run the Exact Same Temps......

Cleaning manifolds is a Fools Economy......
All the Junk you're cleaning out, Used to be Cast Iron......
If by chance your manifold is Thinner than you Think, You'll be Replacing the Engine, Rather than the Manifolds.....

Maybe someone else will verify this, but I read on another forum that the starboard side (on a front facing install) will run warmer. My Twin 1987 454's exhibit the same trait. One riser is cool, the other is warm on both engines, but you can still keep your hand on it. If this is the case with yours you should be OK.
