Just bought boat, motor has been in water for years without use. Runs good but have a few ?'s<br /><br />There is a small round plastic cap that pops in place just forward of where the shifter rod enters the lower part of the lower unit. When I trimmed the motor up for the first time, oil ran out of this hole. Is this normal? While running in a bra, water came out of prop area, with some oil mixed(cloudy white residue). Is this normal.<br /><br />How can I remove the build up on the lower unit. I have tried zing(acid wash) with no luck. I think I have all the algae off, but I may have some corrosion. Its like a white calcium looking build up.<br /><br />My oil injection system had bad hoses. I went through the entire system with new hoses, and clleaned out the resevoir, filled with new oil, and started engine. The lines have ait in them, the book says no priming is needed. Do I need to bleed this system, or will the lines never totally fill up.<br /><br />What can you clean power trim shafts with?<br /><br />Thanks For any input, sorry for the long post...
