hi I noticed my tstat housing was leaking so I pulled it. Noticed the tstat was against the block then the gasket over that then the housing on top of everything. It’s sealed up and no leaks. Just wondering, there’s a bit of a bevel where a tstat traditionally sits since automotive Tatar’s sit against the block. I know that it’s sapposed to sit in the housing then the sleep goes over top yadayadayada. Is it ok to sit on the block then everything on top. Thx
