Hello!
I was cruising down the lake at WOT today and after about 3 minutes my motor completely stalled out. Carbs, fuel pump, hoses and spark plugs were all serviced and/or replaced 2 months ago. I nurse her back into the ramp at low speed. As soon as I get home I check everything, do a compression test, and sure enough my top cylinder is barely registering on the gauge. The 2 and 3 cylinders were spot on at 115 respectively.
From what I've read it seems to either be a head gasket or piston/ring damage from running too lean. I do feel like for the last trip out the motor didn't use as much 2 stroke oil as previous trips.
After reading I feel like I can handle a head gasket job but if it is a fried piston, is it worth trying to repair or is it recommended to sell it for parts and repower?

I really appreciate any help or knowledge you can share about this issue!!
