I bought a new block, had an enigne shop redo the heads etc...

I'm putting the engine back togather, and have two quesitons.

1) The gasket kit contained one intake gasket that has a "restricted" port. It is the last water jack on the port side of the engine. The starboard side gasket was normal. The restricted port had the regular size hole covered, with a small round hole punched in it (about the size of a normal paper punch)

Is this normal, or OK to use, or should I get a new gasket??

2) The crankcase flange has 6 studs. The flywheel goes on the studs, then the coupler, and they are bolted togather. On the studs, there is a "flat spot" with no threads. My question is, does the flywheel sit on the flat spot of the stud, or do I install it reverse, and let the coupler sit on the flat spot?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
