the upper gear case on my 1988 OMC Cobra with a 3.0 has broken the gears I found a complete stern drive with a prop from a 1988 OMC cobra 2 off a 4.3 six cylinder for 500.00 will it bolt on my transom and will the gear racial work. thank you
i wanted to ad the model # and serial # Thank you for any advice you can give me I have a 13X19 aluminum prop there is a casting number on it if you need it also I don't know the difference between a cobra or a cobra II mine just says cobra The plate on the out drive is model# 985268 serial# T0542304 the plate on the transom or gimbel mount is985288 serial# T0102738 and on the motor its model# 302AMR6DP SERIAL#T1027477 I have no idea which number to use i cant find a gear racial stamped any were on it I hope you can make sense of all the different model numbers
