I used to post and ask many questions on this forum - but when I started to receive some criticism and was purposely fed incorrect information - I stopped posting and asking questions... and went at it alone...

This is the final result - a few weeks behind schedule - but this 30 year old gal is completed for the most part.
I still have to replace the carpet inside the side cubbies - and a few small things.

Some things had to be engineered to make work - like installing new seats on pre-existing seat bases.
Many parts of the floor needed to be replaced..

I am sure sure someone will flame on me for the different carpet colors used - but hey... I underestimated and ran out. The black Home Depot outdoor carpet was the best I could get in a pinch. Besides, the black engine cover carpet matches 2 side pieces between the aft and stern... and the cubbies will be in black as well.

..mind you... I have NEVER restored or built a boat ever before... so if you are lurking on this forum thinking about restoring your boat...my advice to you is to just go for it. There is so much information out there on the internet machine - in which I did a LOT of...

When I was more active on this forum, I did receive a lot of great information and instruction from some members - so thank you to those who steered me in the right direction and provided meaningful and thoughtful info.

MANY trips to the hardware stores
MANY trips to the dollar store (my favorite and saved a ton of $$)
MANY things bought online

SO... Working on the weekends in 115 degree heat in Arizona with a little bit of shade...through an insurmountable amount of sweat, some blood, but no tears... here is the final result.

Nice result. Thanks for posting. Internet opinions are just that and everyone has got one. Often you have to provide your own filter and decide what is best for your situation.

Congrats! looks great. Enjoy the boat. Glad you came back and posted the finished product. Even though, we're never really completely done working on these boats. Says the guy who wants to repaint/restore his trailer this winter. :)
