After doing a bit of work (got the boat in mid September, 20' Aluminum Mirrocraft cuddy) I finally took it out for the first time today. Motor ran excellent. However, I had a lot of trouble with the throttle lever control for the motor (original). Everytime I shifted into forward or reverse (and sometimes just randomly) the darned fast idle lever would pop up off the clip and disable the throttle lever. I was constantly having to snap it back down. It wasn't a big deal out on the ocean, but around the launch ramp it was pretty dangerous as there was little room to maneuver. Luckily there wasn't a lot of traffick. I hope there is a quick fix for this. The throttle also doesn't really give enough gas until it is too far forward, but I will check the manual for the adjustment.
