1988 Yamaha PRO 50 lower unit

Good afternoon. I am trying to drop the lower unit for my 1988 Yamaha pro 50. I am not sure how to unhook the shift linkage. I have removed all bolts and the speedometer tube but not sure on the linkage. I have performed a search on this but did not see any information. Thanks for your help.

The coupler is just under the lower motor mount. Put the shifter in neutral, loosen the lower jam nut and spin the upper(long) nut up until it dis-engages from the lower shift rod. PM sent
