1989 110 vro evinrude stalls on idle

well i had high speed issues used seafoam now the it runs great at high speed just can,t seem to idle it stalls out tried idle screw any ideas would help

There is no substitute for cleaning the carb, that means it comes completely apart.

Its not hard and doesn't even take that much time to do.

at slow speed trolling i use very little gas at high speed it sucks it like its going out of style

Thanks that's what I was lookiing to know. I just got this motor but I did notice that the idle screw is run all the way out. I had to adjust the throttle cable to get mine to idle and shift into gear without dying. This probably isn't the correct fix for the problem, but is a quick fix until you find the real problem.

Like the original post, clean the carb.
