Lochy, I'm sure this will get moved to J/E questions but I will add it sounds as though the carbs are out of sync. If not properly done, your symptoms are pretty close to what happens.<br />The blue smoke is residual oil and I don't think this indicates any problem.<br />See if mods move this to J/E, and the replys will follow....I'll be looking for it there.<br />Hang tight!!! :)

Lochy, did you just have work done at a dealer???<br />If so, you might want to take it back and explain the trouble, as I believe it is linkage syncro problem, and if it was just worked on I question it being properly set up.....<br />Edit: If this is a VRO engine, you might check fuel hoses for condition, and the fuel vent-make sure it's open, and I'm going to assume you have fresh fuel....correct??
