Im back to working onmy boat. Had itruning great last summer. And in the begaing of this summer boat was runing great. now all of a suddin i keep geting this backfire but notload kinda a sputter from the exhaust going on and then the last time i went out on the water i could not get it to start hardly at all i had to spit gas in the carb and keep trying and alsogive it gas when it did try to start. i have never had a problem starting it so im stumped. i have checked for spark gas everything looks good to me any ideas would be greatly apreached.

-one thing is when i bought the boat 8 years ago it had j6c champion plugs and i just now relized it is souposed to have L76V..... this could be a problem but it has ran fine for years with the j6c. so i really dont know what to do pleas help, really want to get out on the water for the forth of july........
