Steve,
I have found nothing in the seach reguarding the workings of the "pulse limiter".
Is this a part that can cause the problem I described in my post.
Thanks

gsCAT96 I would try searching 70 hp, 70hp, bogging down, no power ect
The limmiter is normally for a overheat condition. I belive there is a tan wire around the head for this. If you disconnect it and the problem goes away this could be your problem. But theres also a Tan wire that for the temp sensor! There will be others to jump in and give you good advice! I am thinking more on the lines of
carbs/synchronization These motors (70hp) are noted for bad idle and power loss from minnor adjustments. Hang in there!
steve

The pulse limiter protects the fuel pump assembly, VRO, from damage caused by backfires. If it carbons up, it can restrict the pumping action making the motor sound like it has a bad fuel pump.

If you squeeze the primer ball while the motor is "bogging", it will increase in power if the pump or limiter is bad. Chances are you have a different problem such as compression, carbs, or ignition.
