We are having a problem with our 1989 Force Outboard Motor. We recently went out on the lake and everything was fine for awhile. We went to take off and the motor completely stalled. Every time we tried to gas it – it choked. We could finally get it to move but it crept the whole time but only if we gave it very little gas. We also had to pump the bulb every few minutes. We have checked the plugs and carb – fine, did a compression check – fine, took the fuel pump apart which seems fine as well. Sounds wonderful when it is out of the water, even with throttle all the way up – runs perfect. But the minute we put it in the water and throttle up it dies. Any suggestions or help you could give would be great. Help!
