Hi all,

New here, first time post but have read a ton of posts so far.

My boat:
1989 Bayliner Capri OMC cobra/2.3 ford

My problem:
Gas keeps dripping out of the overflow.

I filled up the tank the other day for the first time ever and gas poured out of the over flow.
We took the boat out for a short cruise of 20 minutes to make sure it was water ready.
It was not.

Took it home and almost a week later I noticed gas leaking out of the overflow.
The next day its still dripping and all over the back of the boat.
I am getting concerned why it would continue to drip like that, even during the night when the temp gets way lower.
I could understand it was so full and expansion from temp changes and junk but has anyone had any similar experience?

Or loosen off the gas cap to see if there is a difference.
Not suppose to fill it up to the brim. The boat does not ride as smooth as a car.

also boats often don't sit the same in the water as on the trailer
