I was running up river when my 3.0L kinda stalled and died. I thought it may have jumped time but after looking at it and then try to start it the motor would turn over and when it did it would turn the entire outdrive. So we were hauled into the ramp and I was baffled. It would go into neutral and the prop would turn and the prop would lock in when in fwd or rev. but when we would try to start the engine it was still locked up inside the outdrive.
I know that I am going to remove the outdrive but does anyone have suggestions where I should start to look for the culprit?
