1989 DT85 Oil light blinks under full load WOT

Hello,

I have a deck boat with an 85 hp 1989 suzuki. When the boat is loaded and I open it up to WOT the oil light blinks very very quickly about 3 times per second. Should I be concerned? Is the engine not getting enough oil? What can I do about this? Please help if anyone is familliar with this problem.

Yes, you should be concerned. Try cleaning your filter which i believe is just below the oil tank. There's a good chance it is clogged preventing your motor from getting the right kind of lubrication it needs.
