1989 Evinrude 110 hp

I am parting out an Evinrude 110 hp. I am at the part of removing the foot
I have removed lower units before so am familiar with doing so
My question is the shift rod underneath the carbs, is it a set screw or a pin like older models
connecting the shift rod to the linkage.

there is a bolt you need to remove then the link comes out

????????-----No there is no bolt to take out !!!---You remove a hitch pin and then push the shift shaft to the port side and the shift rod is disconnected.----Easy as can be.
