I have an 18ft javelin bass boat with 89 ride xp 150 on it and it will start fine but idles rough then dies. Eventually it will run and runs good once I get it going but as soon as I back it down, stop and let it idle it eventually dies. I'm new to boat engines but I am mechanically inclined as I grew up with a mechanic dad and race dirt latemodels so be nice start slow and I'll catch on. Any help is appreciated. Oh also the previous owner changed the fuel pump with aftermarket part.
