Hello everyone,

I am home on my midtour break in Mascoutah, Illinois from Osan Ab Korea and have taken my boat out last weekend which has been great and she ran great all weekend, but I have a question on the chirping sound when you first turn the key to on to start the motor. When I turn the key to on I use to get a louder chirping sound which I guess is the test for the worning horn before you start the motor. Well mine I noticed is very, very, very, faint sounding when I turn the key to on and I did have the boat sitting out in the rain on the trailer because it rained and don't know if that has something to do with it. What can you guys suggest it is, becuase when I turn the key to on it is very, very, very, very, faint sounding chirp instead of the louder chirp.

Maybe the horn is beginning to fail or you have a poor connection somewhere. Is the battery fully charged? Should be 12.5V+. Ground one of the tan wires at the head with the switch on and the horn should sound. If it sounds weak again, check all connections. A louder, makeshift warning horn would be simple to wire.
