I have a force 125 single exhaust. I have a 13.5 x 17" and a 13.5 x 15" pitch. I want to pick up a 13.5 x 13" for pulling skiers and for when the boats heavy. the problem is I can't find the right prop in the pitch I need. does anyone know if the prop off a newer force dual exhaust will work on my engine? both spec shows 15 spline but I don't know if shaft diameter are the same or over all length. it would be nice if they are interchangeable if not may be time to shop for a new boat.

Thru-hub exhaust props will work on your engine with absolutely no difference in performance. Stock props should fit with no modification. After-market props may need a different thrust washer or some modification to fit or clear the exhaust snout.

thanks for the replys, I'm gonna order up one of the vortex props then, looks like the hub kit and prop will be cheaper then I paid for the last prop I bought! when I searched michagan wheels prop selector for the 125 only 3 props are listed in pitch sizes 19,17,and 15 hopefully a 13 will solve my performance issue and get my boat yanking them skiers up out of the water! :)

post back on how you like the vortex 13p - i have the same props as you and 15p is fine with my family but when I get a few more adults in it takes a little longer to get up on slalom. now 15p will yank me up almost instantly on 2 skis.

If you buy the Vortex, you MUST remove the circular anode (held on behind the prop by two screws). When you slide on the prop, the anode WILL hit the prop webs and you will not be able to tighten the prop nut. Alternatively, if you wish to use the anode, you can either buy a newer anode off a later model engine (which is a lot less higher) OR mill down the webs of the prop so they will clear your existing anode.

I just cut off the part of the existing anode that is hitting the webs on the prop. If you're in fresh water, the modification to the anode is a non-issue.

I'll let you guys know how it goes after I get it. I did some tuning on the carbs last outing that seemed to help a little, but still it's not enough. I think it was a bit to rich.

Frank, do you use the existing thrust washer with the Vortex or the one that comes with the hub kit ? I think there might be a gap between the washer and prop inner hub ?
