I recently aquired this 15 HP motor. I have never owned an outboard, but done wrenching on cars. I have replaced all fuel lines, rebuilt the fuel pump, replaced the impeller and replaced the oil in the lower unit. I need an opinion of you, professionals, if the amount of water coming out of the motor is normal or not?

Looks like you don't have enough water in your barrel.....the cavitation plate needs to be 4 inches or more under water for the impeller to pump properly. Try that and see if it makes a difference. Maybe even 6 inches. Your cavitation plate is barely under water.

Like topgun said, deeper in the water.
The motor isn't a self priming motor.
But once it starts pumping the pump can work in shallower water.
Most of the water exits from the snout under the cavitation plate.
IF??? your worried??? then change the impeller.
