1989 force 50 pole count

I have a 1989 force 50Hp Model 507R9B. Does anyone know how many poles there are in the alternator?

I'm quite sure it uses the older style 20 pole stator or alternator.

Thanks for the info, You are indeed correct. Had a heck of a time finding a tach with 20 poles.

It'll be close to impossible to find a brand new one. Your best bet is to look at evilbay and if you are lucky you can find one that is new but old stock or NOS.
