Hello everyone, Asking to help a friend. What years of carbs will fit on a 1989 force 50HP? Sorry I do not have his model number from him. From what I see, the carb part numbers changed year to year.
Without a model# it would be a poor guess.
The first carb in the first model works on a 89 and 90 only.
The last model, the carb fits from 74-88
So it's real important to get a model????
Unless it's completely trashed??
Then just a good cleaning will work.
Ok, I asked for the model number and was told that he replaced the transom clamps years ago. All that I have are some numbers off of the carb and they are WE17. The other side of the mounting boss is this number 628061-1. Yeah he trashed the carb removing the welch plug.
