Hi there,
I have an '89 Force 85hp with no spark. I have the Seloc manual and have gone through the test procedures. This is the Prestolite CDM system. With my Merctronic peak volt meter I am getting a reading of 20 on the 600v scale from both sets of blue / yellow output wires. I am fairly certain that translates to 200 volts but maybe I am wrong. When I test coil output on both modules I get nothing. I have checked the kill wires for voltage and have disconnected them at the module. I have also checked the kill wires at the key switch. I looked at the safety kill button and it seems to function properly. Do I have two bad modules or is there something I have missed? Hoping someone out there may have the answer. I have already replaced the stator and this one test right on spec for both resistance and (unless I am reading the meter wrong) output voltage. I want to exhaust all possibilities before spending more money on the CDM's. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Well I retested everything and found that the ohms on the trigger resistance were very slightly high. I then retested for output and I believe I found the culprit. I thought that I had checked it already, but I think I may have gotten a false reading from my mulimeter as I was not using a DVA adapter. I used the peak meter and found little to no output voltage. Anyway, maybe this will help somebody else with the same problem. Thanks.
